Farm Credit of Western Kansas, ACA, has awarded its annual scholarship to Lindsey Wilson. The $500.00 scholarship is renewable for up to four years at the college of the recipient’s choice. The Colby High School Senior plans to attend Colby Community College and Kansas State University. Lindsey is the daughter of Leland and Roxie Wilson of Colby.
Lindsey is a member of the National Honor Society and the 2009 class valedictorian. She is also the 4A state champion in doubles tennis.
In support of the agricultural community of Northwest Kansas, the Board of Directors of Farm Credit of Western Kansas, ACA, Colby, Kansas, has established this $500.00 scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to a High School Senior who is a member or whose parents are members of Farm Credit of Western Kansas, ACA.
The Board of Directors of Farm Credit Western of Kansas, Agricultural Credit Association (ACA) is pleased to announce that in June it will pay out $2,500,000 in patronage to the members of the Association. This patronage represents the return of interest paid by members during calendar year 2008.
Payment of this patronage is made possible by the net interest income, crop insurance sales, and related fee income earned by the Association. Over the past ten years, Farm Credit has returned over twelve million dollars of cash patronage to its farmer members. This represents money that has been placed back into the local economy. Unlike most other lenders, Farm Credit raises its loan funds through the sale of AAA-rated Farm Credit bonds to investors in the nation's money markets.
